What Size Businesses Do You Work With?

I work with businesses of all sizes, no limit, but I’d say small to medium-sized businesses mostly, although I have worked with a few large companies as well and from time-to-time. I seem to naturally attract the smaller to medium-sized businesses for the most part, though. I think most business owners prefer working with a marketing consultant than with a large agency for a number of reasons.

Do You Do Free Consultations?

Yes, I offer no-pressure, no-obligation free marketing consultations to anyone looking to discuss their business needs or to get some free marketing advice. I also offer evening and weekend consultations, since it can be tough for business owners to chat during the day.

Are You a Marketing Agency?

I’m not a marketing agency. I’m an independent marketing consultant. That said, I do work with a very close-knit network of graphic artists, website programmers and other technical specialists in their field that I utilize to work on the projects that I lay the initial groundwork. My job is to research, advise strategies and develop the concepts, plans, vision and execution of what’s needed for successful marketing campaigns and other marketing-related projects. My role is also to ensure value, quality, and efficiency throughout every stage of your marketing projects, no matter how large or small they are.

What Industries do You Serve?

I serve an extensive range of industries—everything from hospitality, to construction, to retail, healthcare and many others.

How Long do You Typically Work With a Client?

It varies quite a bit, I’ve had some for years’ and others for months, it really depends on what your particular needs are, but typically I work with most of my clients for a minimum of 3 months. Again, it really depends on what exactly you require from a marketing standpoint. There are also no minimum or maximum amount of hours I require to work with a client; it’s really just about what the client needs.

What Are Your Rates?

My rates are based on the scope of the projects I work on; however, my hourly rate is $75.00. In the case that an outside vendor was required for technical expertise, then the cost of the vendor’s services would be extra. Before an outside vendor is brought onto a project, I would have you review and sign off on whatever quote amount they propose for their part of the project. You’ll never have to worry about being blindsided with surprise invoices from LB. Since my hourly rate is lower than most consultants, it allows my clients to work with me for extended periods of time. This works out well for everyone involved because I get the satisfaction of watching their business grow, and they get the security of a consultant that is not just a one-hit-wonder that’s committed to their business long-term.

Do I Need to Sign a Contract?

No, nothing that formal, but I do have an “Agreement that I sign off on, as well as the client. It’s basically outlining the number of hours in a week or month that the client would like me to work on their projects (minimum/maximum) and for how long the client would like to retain my services initially. Again, it’s important that you, as the client, never get any surprises, just total transparency.

Will You Sign an NDA?

Yes, I actually have my own NDA documentation that I provide to my clients for them to use with me. But if you have your own, we can use whichever one you’re most comfortable with.
